We have two pieces of news for you today and the first is about Challenges. The admins have had a chat and decided that they will look over the stories from each challenge and the one they think fulfils the challenges the best will be featured for two weeks in the next featured slot after the end of the given challenge.

We hope this will encourage writers to try the challenges for the chance see their name in the featured slot.

This does not preclude using the Feature a Fic link, so keep suggesting fics too.

The second item is a new rule about Drabbles/Ficlets which can also be seen in the Submissions Rules:

1. A drabble/ficlet is any story with less than 500 wds
2. You may post drabbles/fictlets to the site, but not as individual stories. They must be posted as chapters of a story called something like "Drabbles/Ficlets"
3. The exception to this is if you have a series of drabbles/ficlets where the total word count is 500 wds or more, which may be posted as their own story with the individual drabbles/ficlets as chapters.
4. Drabble/ficlet series with less than 500 wds should be posted in the general drabble/fictlet story and linked together using the chapter titles and chapter ordering.

N.B. This is a new rule, it does not apply to previously posted fic, unless you wish to reorganise. We don't want you to lose your reviews or anything like that.
